RE: HAVE TO ASK

The SS & Company pension check are still the same amount every month. So far the SS one has increased every year for COL.
I haven't touched the 401k yet. 401k has had no loss because it is in the low paying MM. No big gains, but always a gain every year. But the IRS is forcing me to start next year, taking some of that out so they can get some tax money from me.
Rest in CD's with one paying 7% for two more years yet.
It comes down to no affect on my RV travels. Have been doing the same every year for the last 9.
Three weeks ago I paid cash for a new Toad and everything to get it ready for 4 down pulling. My Son is going to get my old "98" year car that has 52,400 miles on it. After I put new front brake pads, air filter, fuel filter and 2 new Oxygen sensor's on it this week.

RE: Anyone had problems with State Farm Insurance Claims

WOW! Just two days ago you was having a switch problem with your MH. If it was lost in a fire. Insurance may need more time to settle on price.
Hope your forcing the switch to work didn't cause the fire.

RE: Tow Vehicle vs tow dolly

4 wheel down you only pull the weight of the Toad.
Tow Dolly will give you a extra 700 0r 800 lb. to pull.
Flatbed trailer you have more extra weight to pull, even more weight with a dual axle. It could even put your MH over its GCWR.
More weight to pull can cause more HP used & less MPG on the MH.

RE: tow vehicle for a Class A MH

HHR LT2 is only front wheel drive. But you can get it with heated seats.
Remote start standard to warm or cool it for you.

RE: Flying J changes credit price on Diesel Fuel at truck pumps

You have not used the truck islands since 9/1/08. Your RV Rewards card is NO GOOD at the truck island.
RV Rewards Card is Still GOOD at the truck island if you pay with CASH.

RE: Motosat HD

There is more gear slop in the Motosat. The mounting plate, while being longer on the Motosat, is not as wide.
The Motosat has plastic/vinyl covers on the mount - the Winegard has metal.
Manual stowing is far more difficult with the Motosat, if it should prove necessary.
The Motosat drive system is not sealed and uses a greased chain drive that will attract dirt.
The Winegard is a completely sealed system - all electronics and drive gear is sealed in a waterproof metal housing.
The Motosat IDU uses flashing LEDs for status. The Winegard has an LED display with messages.
The antenna type on the Winegard can be set from the display without looking up stuff in a manual.
The Motosat elevation pins are not plated and rust quickly.
Motosat uses a center pivot point instead of the ring bearing on the outside edge that the Winegard uses.
There is more side-to-side flex in the Motosat - when deployed.
Your choice.

RE: Local NY Channels

$3 local NYC or $11.99 DNS to get the NYC 4 networks plus 4 LA networks. Both you get anywhere.
Your choice on what to pay.
Don't think you can find that DNS form on DTV web site anymore.

RE: What gassers support a motorcycle carrier

This may work for you. Tandem Tow but you may still need a MH that can pull 10,000 lb.
Add the weight of car, bike & trailer for total.

RE: Thin-Lite Failed & Became Extremely Hot

For the extra $20, I'll save myself the aggravation and won't mess up my manicure either.
Don't forget you also get 2 new tubes with that $20.

RE: VCR's after Feb, 09

You use a converter turned on and set to the channel you want to record and use the VCR in Line setting to record.

RE: OK I bought the Colorado and need to

installation will most likely be done at Camping World
CW had a special in Sept. for $1,399 for the base plate, tow bar, wiring for lights, cables etc including installation.
They were using all Roadmaster base plates & Falcon 2 tow bar.
Not sure when it ends or if it has.

RE: Best Kind of T.V. Antenna

ALASKA AND HAWAII HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
For DIRECTV CHOICE programming (along with premium packages and seasonal sports subscriptions), you will need a 1.2-meter DIRECTV® Dish.
Maybe 1fastdad can tell you where you can buy and have installed a 1.2(48")meter dish on your roof.

RE: kwikee steps

Mine will do that sometimes after a week. Usually opening & closing the door several times gets them working again. Along with a lube.
Then I try to remember to close them up when going to bed & opening them the next day a couple times a week.

RE: Tank Vent - Your Roof Mounted Vent - Why it's there!!

I bought one of those 360 roof vents and had planned on replacing the one on the roof with it. However when I got up there I discovered that the present one was 4 inches in size - OD.
I may be wrong. But thought his question was how to install the 360 vent on the 4" pipe. :h
Isn't 4" OD bigger then the sewer dump hose?
Not one answered yet on how he can do that. ;)
But he did get a lot of answers about how hot air works. :B

RE: How often should you have to defrost frig fins?

On a 4 out of 5 setting my fins will Ice up.
I move the setting down to 3 and ice clears up. So I run on three with that fin slider all the way up.
On the 3 setting it will stay from 33 to 38 depending on how often the door is opened. I use a remote temperature sender inside. On real hot days traveling if remote shows it getting to 40-41 then I turn it up to the 4 setting.
You might try to run the slider all the way down on a 4 setting.
I defrost the freezer around 3 times a year.

RE: Cracked windshield -my turn :(

I had one replaced this summer.
1. I called the Insurance Co.
2. They told me the local glass Co. they gave the claim to.
3. I called the glass Co. and made a appointment to have it installed.
4. Windshield was installed
5. I signed release that it was fixed.
Your Insurance Co. should be the one that sets it up for you. You shouldn't have to find the glass & place to fix it.
